General Information Edit

The Aerial Defense Tower (ADT) defends your base against flying monsters, including Fomor. It is the only defense that does splash damage on flying monsters besides a Rocket D.A.V.E. or Airburst Eye-ra in a bunker. It can also destroy Loot-o-tron 5000s.

ADTs cannot attack ground units, so pairing them with another defensive tower (Laser towers or Cannon towers at short range or Railguns, Sniper towers, or Tesla towers at longer range) provides mutual protection. However, this strategy can make the tower pair an attractive target for catapult attacks.

Attackers will often first target your ADT to allow subsequent D.A.V.Es and Zafreetis to attack swiftly and easily. Hence, protecting your Aerial Defense tower is important; place it near your silos or Town Hall.

Tests indicate a Level four Aerial Defense Tower can kill around 30 level six Teratorns. However, low-level ADTs are not strong enough to kill monsters like Teratorns in one shot and are therefore vulnerable if the attackers are being buffed by a Fomor. Moral: upgrade your ADT enough to kill attackers in one shot and neutralize the buff.

• It is also known as AA (Anti-Air) or ADT in the forums.
• The ADT came out a month after Teratorn, and 5 days after Zafreeti.
  • The day of its release was May 25, 2011.
• It has also the third greatest range of any tower, higher than that of a sniper tower and only surpassed by the Monster Bunker and the Spurtz Cannon.
